Terrain

Map-based site planning, from camera placement to customer plans.

Rhombus · Sole developer · In-house tool

Terrain brings site layout, camera placement, coverage and customer plans into one application, replacing a workflow spread across maps, drawings and spreadsheets.

The application includes map and 3D views, backend services, data storage and asset handling.

Terrain saves Rhombus more than $100K a year.

Native integrations

Connecting device events to operational workflows.

Production integrations connect Rhombus devices to mobile panic buttons, access control, rule-engine workflows and alerting pipelines.

REST APIs, webhooks and cloud services handle partner-specific behavior and device-trigger automation. Local testing and device simulation allowed development and testing before the hardware was available.

Custom solution design

Technical discovery, product demos and solution design turn customer requirements into deployment and integration plans with product, engineering and partner teams. The work spans the U.S., Canada, LATAM and APAC.

A custom solution for a multi-location storage operator helped win Rhombus’s largest APAC deal. The deployment is rolling out in phases.

Alert reliability

Keeping actionable alerts moving while media catches up.

The alert workflow waited on uploaded media before it could proceed. A slow or missing clip could stall work that didn’t need the clip in the first place.

Separating alert handling from media completion keeps time-sensitive work moving. A missing clip no longer blocks actionable alerts, and the change fits into the existing workflow.

Rhombus’s Make.com application connects site planning, sales handoffs and enterprise provisioning.

Planning handoffs move between teams without manual re-entry. Opportunities update with floorplans and bills of materials, and enterprise sites and users are provisioned automatically.

A computer science capstone bringing market news and trading information together.

FL0CK.BIZ brings market news and trading information into one web application. The project was built for the computer science capstone at CSU Chico.

The Python and Django application pulls data from external APIs and runs in Docker for a reproducible setup.

A daily Hermes setup connects devices, routes tasks between models and brings tools and MCP servers into software and creative work.

Approval boundaries separate independent work from actions that need permission. Reproducible checks make failures easier to diagnose, fix and report.
